free plans: how to make a Blind Spot Display |
Basic Description |
This project exploits a fascinating phenomenon of our vision: the blind spot. There is a spot
in each eye that lacks the ability to function like the rest of the eye - it cannot
supply visual data to your brain. Under normal circumstances, the information collected by
the other eye fills in the missing area, but under the proper conditions, the blind
spot becomes apparent. Making the simple display with glow-in-the-dark paint and positioning
it near a bed allows for a surprisingly fun activity while falling asleep.
